Compress PNG to 50KB Online
Use this page when you need to compress png to 50KB online for screenshots, transparent graphics, interface exports, and app assets.
PNG files often stay larger because they preserve detail and transparency. This page helps you target a size limit while keeping a PNG-first workflow unless you deliberately switch to another format.
Reduce PNG for upload limits
Compress PNG files for dashboards, support forms, documentation systems, and asset handoff flows.
Keep PNG when transparency matters
You can keep PNG output by default when pixel detail or transparency still matters after compression.
Try multiple PNG files at once
Batch upload screenshots or design assets and review each target-size result before downloading.
Processing and limitations
Compression may reduce image quality or dimensions. Compare the result before downloading. Animated GIFs retain animation only with GIF output.

PNG compression: quality and transparency
PNG is a lossless file format, but reducing its colour palette before encoding changes pixels. This tool uses colour quantisation below 100% quality. At 100% it uses lossless PNG encoding; resizing still changes pixels. Metadata may be removed. This browser workflow outputs 8-bit still PNG images; APNG animation and 16-bit channel depth are not preserved. If the optional encoder fails to load, browser PNG export may produce a larger file. Compare the preview, dimensions and measured file size before downloading. For a product image with a size limit, compare actual output bytes and inspect colour gradients before publishing. Resize to the pixel dimensions you need; a quality percentage is not an exact file-size target. Keep the original for subsequent edits.
