Yes. You can adjust quality and dimensions to compress image size while keeping a strong visual result for web, email, and documents.
You can compress image online for JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and HEIC files.
Yes. Batch mode lets you reduce image size online for multiple files and download them one by one or as a ZIP.
A quality setting around 75-85 usually gives a good balance between visual clarity and smaller file size for web publishing.
Start by lowering quality first. If the file is still too large after reaching quality 60, then try reducing dimensions as well.
Yes. HEIC input is supported. The tool can convert and compress HEIC files to JPG, WebP, or other formats directly in your browser.
Below 100% quality, color quantization changes pixels. At 100%, PNG encoding is lossless; resizing still changes pixels and metadata may be removed. Output is an 8-bit still PNG: APNG animation and 16-bit depth are not preserved. If the optional encoder fails, browser export may be larger. Compare the preview, dimensions and actual file size.

PNG compression: quality and transparency
PNG is a lossless file format, but reducing its colour palette before encoding changes pixels. This tool uses colour quantisation below 100% quality. At 100% it uses lossless PNG encoding; resizing still changes pixels. Metadata may be removed. This browser workflow outputs 8-bit still PNG images; APNG animation and 16-bit channel depth are not preserved. If the optional encoder fails to load, browser PNG export may produce a larger file. Compare the preview, dimensions and measured file size before downloading. For a product image with a size limit, compare actual output bytes and inspect colour gradients before publishing. Resize to the pixel dimensions you need; a quality percentage is not an exact file-size target. Keep the original for subsequent edits.
